 The APSKF has been in existence for 30 years now and it’s main objectives are to Promote and Develop ShitoRyu Karatedo as founded and taught by Kenwa Mabuni Sensei . Today, under Soke Kenei Mabuni and the Shitokai in Japan, the tradition of promotion and Development continues.
Initially APSKF was formed by only a handful of countries but now, we have 21 countries who are Affiliated members and they are Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, Chinese Taipei, HongKong, India, Iran, Indonesia , Japan, Malaysia, Macau, Nepal, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Palestine, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Vanuatu, Vietnam. More countries are expected to join us in the very near future.
The Management Committee of the APSKF consists of dedicated Karatekas and under the Federation, several of the Senseis hold important portfolios such as Chairman of : a) Technical Committee, b) Referee Council and c) Tournament Committee. These Sub Committees form the basis of our operation which in turn will assist our members in training or organization.
Further to the above, our region which covers the Asia and Pacific area have full support from the World Shito-Ryu karatedo Federation (W.S.K.F.) . Several of our Senseis also sit in the Organisation of W.S.K.F which is an advantage as Technical seminars are held often. These Senseis conduct regular Seminars in return for the benefit of our existing members.
